Beginning in 1950, the Burbank Symphony Orchestra presented the Festival of Nations, an annual celebration of music and culture from around the world. Held at the Starlight Bowl, the festival brought together the orchestra with local dance ensembles and choral groups, creating a unique community event that celebrated the rich traditions of many nations through the performing arts.
For more than three decades, the Festival of Nations became a beloved Burbank tradition, welcoming audiences to experience a diverse blend of music, dance, and cultural expression. The final Festival of Nations was presented in 1980, leaving behind a lasting legacy as one of the orchestra's most distinctive and memorable community programs.
